My Story
I’ve spent over two decades working in financial services, listening closely to the lives behind the numbers. Over time, it became clear to me that what people often need most is not just more information, but space, clarity and someone they trust to talk things through.
I didn’t come to this work through theory alone. My perspective has been shaped by years inside financial services, by listening closely to people’s lives, and by seeing first-hand how money decisions can feel overwhelming when they are not properly supported.
After more than two decades working across different roles in the industry, I founded Evolution Financial Planning in 2011 with a clear intention: to do things differently. To slow conversations down, explain things properly, and help women and families feel informed, confident and in control of the decisions they are making.
Over time, my work has evolved beyond one-to-one advice. This space reflects the wider conversations, insights and experience I share through speaking, writing and my podcast, alongside the advisory work I continue to deliver.
Experience you can rely on when decisions matter
My Mission & Vision
My Mission
Is to help women feel informed, confident and supported when making financial decisions that matter. I believe financial advice should feel calm, clear and grounded in real life. My mission is to create space for honest conversations, thoughtful guidance and informed choices, so people can move forward feeling reassured and in control, rather than overwhelmed or rushed.
My Vision
To help women realise the financial future they dream of, in a way that feels informed, achievable and true to their lives. I want women to feel confident imagining what is possible for them financially, and supported in making decisions that turn those ambitions into something real. Not through pressure or complexity, but through clarity, understanding and advice that reflects who they are, what they value and where they want to go.
What sits at the heart of my approach
I believe financial advice works best when it feels human, unhurried and built on trust.
The way I work is shaped by listening carefully, explaining things clearly and giving you the space to make decisions that feel right for you. My work is shaped by listening carefully, explaining things clearly and giving you the space to make decisions that feel right for you.
That belief shows up in different ways. Through speaking, I create room for open, honest conversations about money and confidence. Through my podcast, I share real stories and reflections that help normalise the questions and uncertainties so many women carry. And through my books and resources, I offer practical support you can return to in your own time, at your own pace.
Each strand of my work is rooted in the same intention: to help women feel more informed, more confident and more in control of the choices they make about their financial lives.

This year I reached a point where I needed a financial advisor for pension planning. Rebbecca and Evolution Financial Planning was recommended to me by several people in the ‘One of Many’ community. On researching myself, I felt a sense of aligned values. I needed to move quite quickly to make an additional payment into my pension before the end of the Tax year, I was introduced to Sandra who I found to be understanding, friendly and very efficient – especially given it was such a busy time of year. We are now going to have a full review of my pensions undertaken and I look forward to Sandras support.

I met Rebecca through a business networking event many years ago. I chose Evolution Financial Planning as I’ve followed her business growth and activities since; Rebecca is someone I feel knows her stuff and I can trust. I’m a professional in my own field but it was important to use a financial expert to make pension arrangements as I feel I’m out of my depth in this area. Sometimes industry speak can be overwhelming, but Rebecca and Katie have clarified any questions I’ve had and made it easy to understand I’ve received EFP's financial advice previously for other products - however my pension is my current priority. The advice and the help I’ve had has been very good value-add – I’ve moved low risks funds into medium risk solutions on the basis of the advice I've received – despite having different research skills, I wouldn’t have realised that for myself without EFP's research.

I had the most fantastic experience using EFP – I went through a divorce and had some issues with a pension I was given I approached many financial advisors over a seven year period that just couldn’t help or didn’t want to as it was ‘a small amount’ I’d met Rebecca at a networking event and I thought it was worth me approaching her - she said “this is a bad situation you should not be in it, I will help”, the relief was absolutely massive I will be eternally grateful, we worked out the best thing to do, we talked through the process and found a solution. There was kindness and understanding at every level - I know nothing about financial advise, so having the support and advise from Rebecca was absolutely amazing, The advice was brilliant and she made it so simple, when no one else would help. I’m incredibly grateful I will tell everyone it’s a great service!

I wanted to use a financial planner and advisor that I felt was going to offer me something properly customised to my circumstances and plans. I have used IFA's in the past, but I always felt like a very small fish in a very large pond, and the advice and service has always felt very generic. Rebecca has the ability to explain quite complicated financial challenges and investments in simple terms. It's also clear that she genuinely cares about the advice she is giving and it's not just a standard schtick that she roles out time after time. In addition to the obvious concerns about the environment, climate change, pollution etc. I'm also convinced that Ethical investments will increasingly make absolute financial sense going forward as well - Evolution Financial Planning gave me access to a wide variety of ethical funds.

What Sets Us Apart
Recognition I’m proud of...
I’ve been fortunate to have my work recognised over the years, and I’m genuinely proud of that. Not because of the titles themselves, but because they reflect the care, consistency and trust that sit behind the work I do with women and families.
I have held The Times’ Most Vouched For Adviser title and have received awards including Financial Adviser of the Year at the Women in Finance Awards, Role Model of the Year at the Women in Financial Advice Awards, and Customer Service Winner at the Kent Women in Business Awards.
My work and perspective have also been featured by Forbes, The Financial Times, BBC Radio, Simply Woman & Home, and the Daily Express.

Keeping It Real Is My Only Language...
Outside of my work, life is full and busy in the way many women will recognise. I’m a mum to two wonderful children, a wife, always surrounded by animals and someone who values time outdoors, fresh air and the simple moments that help life feel balanced.
That lived experience shapes how I work. I understand how easy it is for financial planning to slip down the priority list when you’re carrying a lot, and how often women put decisions off because there never seems to be the right time or headspace.
It’s why I care so much about creating space for calm, thoughtful conversations. Planning for the future should fit around real life, not compete with it. I’m here to keep it real – always…
